Visitors to this exhibit will be able to communicate with Module 2, the Patient Homecare station. Visuals of the patient and their heart sounds will be able to be received from Module 2, the Patient Station

Equipment

  • Central Nursing Station
    - This station is usually located in the hospital, clinics or call centre and allows the doctor or other healthcare providers direct access to the patient through the interactive video and audio of the Patient Station. Communicating over ordinary phone lines, the Central Station receives clear, close-up pictures, and live heart and lung sounds from the Patient Station via attached medical peripherals. The provider can make visual assessments of the patient and discuss his or her condition, medications, treatment or other concerns through a live, two-way transmission.
