DIGITAL TELEHEALTH INC. AWARDED NATIONAL HEALTH INFORMATION SYSTEM CONSULTING CONTRACT: COMMONWEALTH OF THE BAHAMAS
Dartmouth, Nova Scotia; July 19, 2004
Digital Telehealth Inc. has been selected from a number of leading International companies to provide the Public Hospitals Authority of the Bahamas with consultancy assistance in respect to three broad sets of activities associated with developing its Health Services Information System.
The Bahamas public sector health system includes three hospitals and some 115-community health clinics. Two of the largest public facilities, the Princess Margaret Hospital and the SRC Rehabilitation Centre, are located on the island of New Providence. The third major public facility, Rand Memorial Hospital, is located in the city of Freeport, Grand Bahama.

Among its many accomplishments, the Group was selected by the Government of Canada to represent the Canadian health care sector at the 2000 World’s Fair. It has developed several strategic alliances, which include a technology transfer agreement with NASA’s Marshall Space Flight Center, as well as memorandums of understanding with NASA’s Commercial Space Center, the U.S. Air Force and many national and international universities and research facilities.
