The Digital Group Telehealth Exhibit at
The Millennium World's Fair

June 1 - October 31, 2000
Hannover, Germany

Of the 300 telehealth companies in Canada, Digital has been selected by the Canadian Government to be the sole exhibitor of telehealth at the Canadian Pavilion at Expo 2000.

Telehealth (also referred to as Telemedicine) is the application of technology to healthcare promises to enhance services by improving access to care, lowering healthcare costs and improving the transfer of patient medical records and other data which will in-turn provide accurate information for the management of patients.

With any new technology come various barriers to its proper application. Although technology itself may seem overwhelming, the success of any telehealth program is dependant upon properly addressing the "Human Factors" associated with it.

The Digital Group believes that to be effective, all factors must be addressed. A partial solution amounts to no solution at all. We address any telehealth project by establishing a team consisting of our companies, partners and our customer.

Our Telehealth exhibit at the Millennium World's Fair consists of three modules. Modules one and two demonstrate telehome care, simulating the interaction between a home-based patient station and a central nursing station. The third module utilizes a state of the art video conferencing unit and employs a video presentation to highlight the benefits of this technology.
